The shows early this year are fast approaching - Memorabilia on 31st March - 1st April at the NEC and London Comic Con on the 26th & 27th May. I have been busy preparing for these shows and hope to have a lot of new things to show. The first of these will be a free iBookstore app. It will contain detailed information of the world, characters and creatures of Dying Star.
I also hope to have new banners and posters with the artwork from Michelle Heofener ready for March. For those of you who know about my cross-over work with the Warhammer 40K genre - I have been busy building a life-size dreadnought, part of which I will be bringing to the show. Book 3 - Darkness is underway, and the iPad app with have a short snippet from it for those who can't wait!

Only a week in to the new year and already it's hectic, but in a good way. I have booked in to appear at the Memorabilia shows at the NEC and in London following on from the success last year. I have also commissioned fantasy artist Michelle Hoefener to produce some scenes from the second book. The feedback so far has been positive from book 2 but with most of you somewhat frustrated by the ending, rest assured the final instalment will answer all of your questions. I hope to have book 3 ready this year.
Last year I was happy to sponsor a local paintball team - 'Snatch'. The guys had a successful year and finished in 3rd place in the Central Premier Paintball Series. Congratulations to David Mclean, Steven Wilson, Wayne Luxton, Ryan Skeels, Benoit Almon, Chris Martin, Carl Coughtry and Darren Manley. Good luck for the 2012 season!

Just in time.... The second book has just arrived from the publishers. It is available to buy now direct from the website and I will have plenty of copies at the Memorabilia show at the weekend. It will be a few weeks or so before it is on Amazon or Waterstones. A big thank you to Daniel and Darin for their help in making it happen.

The fast pace continues as do the twists and turns in the storyline. A few new characters and creatures enter the fray and the bloody and brutal action steps up a notch.

In preparation for the Memorabilia show in November I have been working on some merchandise. I have just taken delivery of three different cool t-shirt designs. They are good quality screen prints with a design front and back. There is one for each book cover - Prophecy, Exodus and Darkness. You can buy them now on the website at the bargain price of £10.00.
Book 2 is currently at the printers - I am hopeful to have them for the show also.

I have started a new 3D animation to coincide with the launch of the second book - Exodus. Click here to view a still scene of Asturia, fortress city of Imercia. It is set three seasons later than the first book which may explain the sea pods in the foreground. All will become clear when the book is released. I will post further pictures from the animation as I go on my Deviant Art page.
The e-commerce section of the website has been updated and you can buy the book and the first 'Dying Star' t-shirt. This will allow further books and other merchandise to be added in the near future!

At last book 2 - Exodus is finished. It has just done the rounds with the copy editors and is now on its way to my agent.
Hopefully it will be well received by the publishers. It has a slighter faster pace than the first book and though it answers a few questions from the first book it still has a few more twists.
There have been positive comments from those who have read it - so fingers crossed!

The final artwork for Var has been completed. Fantasy artist Lorland Chen has done a superb job with his visualisation of the character.
You can download the wallpaper if you have access to the Sanctuary. He is currently working on Gero and Vas and they will be added as soon as they arrive. I intend to have these as life size standees at Memorabilia later this year.
Also on a separate note - the audio book version of 'Prophecy' will be under way shortly and we should have something ready in a few months.

Welcome to the new look website. Hopefully it will makes things easier to find and also allow me to add things as momentum increases.
To celebrate the launch I have managed to get hold of these cool thermal travel mugs. They are yours for free!

Many thanks to all those who visited my stand at Memorabilia (NEC) at the weekend. It was great to talk to you all, and I really appreciated the positive feedback. It was a successful weekend and I managed to sell all but two books! This website will be re-launched in a couple of weeks, changing the design and making it easier to navigate and more browser friendly. I will keep you posted on progress on the second book, but I am on schedule to finish by the summer this year.

After many long months of the manuscript doing the rounds with publishers it looks like I have been unsuccessful. The positives to take from this is that quite a few editors liked the book, but sadly not enough to promote a new author. This means that my literary agent and I are beginning the next stage - self publishing. There is a certain amount of negative press surrounding this, but I firmly believe the book is worth reading and for that alone, will forge ahead. I hope to have the finished article within a few months and then the promotional onslaught can begin!

It has taken me 8 months to complete my first novel - Dying Star. This website will show the progress I am making in getting it published.
I have included the first chapter of the book on this site as well as the maps of the planet Gebshu and its satelite Son-Gebshu where the adventure unfolds.
